The be FREE! Project began in April, 2005. It is a three-year grant funded by the Metrowest Community Health Care Foundation. This grant proposal was submitted to the Metrowest Community Health Care Foundation in response to alarming data that suggested that while alcohol use among teens was decreasing across Massachusetts, it was increasing in Hopkinton.
This project strengthens existing youth-serving programs in and around Hopkinton and collaborates with youth-centered efforts to infuse the underage drug and alcohol prevention message into their activities.
