Over the course of the past year, the “be FREE!” Project has set a number of goals for year one of the grant. The Year One Grant Advisory Report gives an overview of the goals, as well as the progress made toward those goals.

Community Related
Training with Hopkinton Police Department: Met
with all staff to discuss Methamphetamines signs and
symptoms, Methamphetamine Labs, and geographic/demographic
trends.
Parent training on Social Host Law Liability with
Middlesex DA's office and the Law Offices of Campbell,

Increased Library holdings on self-help titles. Those books are now available at the Hopkinton Public Library.
Sticker Shock! Using a MADD sponsored program, the
Hopkinton Prevention Coalition worked with licensed
liquor outlets in Hopkinton to
raise
awareness
about
providing alcohol to those under the age of 21.
School Related
Increased intervention capacity. Streamlined and updated the Student Assistance Team, or STAT. This is a student assistance program designed to intervene with students who are using drugs or alcohol and allow them to have greater success in the school environment.
Selected new Prevention Curriculum for Elementary Level. The grant worked with the Wellness Coordinator and chose a best practice curriculum called, Keep A Clear Mind.
